At the beginning of the 1900’s, Rodin prepared a series of drawings of Cambodian Dancers, these are quick, lively, frenzied studies, they recall fashion design in their stylization and elegance, a drawing style that we would not usually associate with Rodin. In this session, we will copy and study this great sculptor’s drawings of dancers from the Royal Cambodian Ballet, using watercolor and graphite. Copying these artworks, is a great occasion to focus on aesthetics, movement and expressive style, with essential lines and quick watercolor washes.

Join me, Thursday August 11, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM, to copy as many as we can of these joyous sketches.

Bring graphite (B- 2B), a few watercolors (red, blue, yellow, green, brown) a few sheets of very  lightly tan-toned drawing paper and white paper, to chase his agile and elegant technique, and have fun doing it.
