Drawing the Feet: from Blocks to Realistic Rendering

The Drawing Session dedicated to the blocks figures or the stereometric rendering of the volumes of the body, have been attended by a good number of students, all very interested in this time honored and very efficient method of understanding and drawing the human body.
This 5th session is dedicated to the feet, a part of the body notoriously tricky to draw. This Drawing session will help you to understand their structure and proportions, by drawing them at first as basic volumes and gradually render them realistically. You will finally be able to say goodbye to crooked, bumpy or funny feet!
Materials:

Drawing paper of decent quality, such as Strathmore Drawing, in any finish (medium, vellum or plate), you don’t need to use expensive paper but it is best if you don’t use newsprint paper.

Graphite pencils in B-2B gradations, a few of colored pencils in brown, red earth and dark blue.

Erasers and pencil sharpener. That’s it!
