Drawing with... Carracci!

The Carracci brothers Annibale and Agostino and their cousin Ludovico, were active in Bologna and Rome during the second half of the 16th Century, and are considered to be precursors of the Baroque style. They were very prolific artists and left us a great number of drawings: preparatory drawings for important commissioned works, portraits of friends, sympathetic quick fresh sketches of common people. The range of styles and techniques and level of talent exhibited in these fresh works is quite remarkable and this session of “Drawing with…”, is dedicated to copying a few of their masterful artworks. The recorded Zoom sessions will be available to the students for the duration of one month after the end of the workshop to permit the students to keep practicing and review the many notions discussed during this intense workshop. Open to all skill levels
