Drawing with… Honore’ Daumier!

Honore’ Daumier created innumerable sketches and drawings satirizing all layers of society with great whit or bringing to his contemporaries’ attention, the toils and suffering of the common people, with great compassion.

We can still relate to some of his drawings and caricatures, such as “Paris influenza”, a drawing that shows Parisians affected by influenza, or “The Omnibus”, where we can appreciate how the “man spread” in public transportation was already affecting women passengers, more than a century ago.

During this 2:30 hour session of “Drawing with…”, we will copy a few of Daumier’s drawings, practicing his energetic, expressive style and drawing technique and practice the art of compositional studies and thumbnails.
