Figure Drawing with the Masters

This course is specifically designed for the students that want to explore Master’s figurative artworks, their style, and techniques, giving you the occasion to advance and refine your drawing technique.

During this 5, online sessions course, of the duration of 3 hours each, the students will practice measuring, tonal rendering, practice a variety of techniques traditionally used for figure drawing, such as charcoal, graphite, pastels, drawing on toned paper, silverpoint, charcoal and chalk, Trois crayon technique.

This course will be also a great occasion to discuss Art History and the political and religious aspects of the historical moment when these artworks were created.

Roberto Osti teaches figure drawing and human anatomy for artists at the New York Academy of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Formally trained as a medical illustrator before becoming a fine artist, Osti has contributed his work to many science and art publications. His paintings have been exhibited in galleries in Europe and the United States. He is the author of Basic Human Anatomy (2016), an art instruction best seller and classic reference book. His latest book , Dynamic Human Anatomy has been released in March 2021.
