Watercolor Landscape with the Masters


With the good season approaching, we will have more opportunities to paint in Plein Air, and this online- 4 sessions watercolor course gives you the opportunity to practice techniques for painting landscapes in watercolor in the studio to get ready to pack your easel and palette and go roaming outside, enjoying and painting the colors of Spring. In this course, the students will enjoy painting watercolor landscapes from photographic references and copies of Masters’s works, practicing various techniques and styles, practice rendering trees, grass, sky, water, and all possible subjects that can be encountered in landscape painting.

The students will also practice fundamental watercolor techniques such as watercolor washes, gradations, texture, wet on wet, wet on dry, dry brush, and more.

The students will have access to the recorded Zoom sessions for the duration of the course and a month after the end of the course. This feature is particularly useful in case of a missed class or to watch the class again and further practice the material discussed.

Roberto Osti teaches figure drawing and human anatomy for artists at the New York Academy of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Formally trained as a medical illustrator before becoming a fine artist, Osti has contributed his work to many science and art publications. His paintings have been exhibited in galleries in Europe and the United States. He is the author of Basic Human Anatomy (2016), an art instruction best seller and classic reference book. His latest book , Dynamic Human Anatomy has been released in March 2021.
