Watercolor can be a very rewarding technique but in order to obtain fresh and expressive paintings, one should become acquainted with its fundamentals: washes, gradations, glazes, wet on wet, wet on dry, drybrush, materials.
This course is designed to give a strong technical foundation to the artist that wants to seriously pursue watercolor.
During this 6-week course, the students will practice a variety of watercolor techniques, study color theory with specific exercises, practice with different types of paper and other materials, learn how to properly mount a piece of watercolor sheet of paper on a rigid support to avoid buckling, practice washes, glazes, blending colors, gradations, textures and more.
